A Week In The Life, Vol 6.
Another week down!

It was cold and wintery and busy!
Lots of hockey of course.
Still have tons of snow too.
This is on our bottom deck!
Tried this strawberry cold foam on a win and it was so good!
Made a candy salad for a valentine’s party.
They both were in on it.
So fun. But gummy candy just doesn’t do it for me!
Playing these little handheld games at hockey.
Love!
The most fun season.
Eddie took all the kids to monster jam!
Jordan was SO excited and loved it.
And then he also fell asleep since it was at night.
I had a galentine’s favorite things party!
Sooo many things.
The costco mousse cake!
Today this baby got on the ice again to start hockey soon!
He loves it!
Max was the “adult” helper.
Can my biggest flex be that my kids are BFFs?! I hope it lasts forever!
Max was SO patient. It was so funny.
Then watched the superbowl and halftime with this big ass sandwich I made! May have been the best halftime I’ve ever seen!

I want to know more about that sandwich! Did you make it?! If so, recipe please!
I just realized you said you made it :) so yes, recipe/method please!
So you were able to understand the Spanish?
Spanish is a beautiful language easily understood even by non-speakers!
Agree, Helena! Mara, Spanish is quite simple to learn & believe it or not, a lot of people who were not born into Spanish-speaking families have easily been able to pick it up in high school classes or on their own. It’s not unusual for people to be able to “understand the Spanish”! If you’re interested in learning, you should just try; it’s not that hard & is actually pretty fun :)
Even if you couldn’t understand the Spanish, it was visually stunning.
Love, strength, and courage are universal in the human experience.
The great news, if you want to better understand the words and visual significance, you can easily do so and I hope you walk away with a little more knowledge and openness to what you may not understand.
I agree the TP USA halftime show was so good and heartfelt!
I agree! So glad we watched it as a family.
I’d love to know more about your galentine’s day party!
so you were fine with your children watching that half time performance???
the dancers? Bad Bunny who had to grab his crotch all the time?
so sad that for so many years I’ve been following you….for your food, your home making content, etc….but you had to go there.
BYE
Agree. Best half time performance? Yikes.
Oh my gosh! That comment is so hypocritical. Men have been highlighting their package for so many years – Michael Jackson back in ’93, more recently Usher, Adam Levine/maroon 5, prince starting purple rain with a silhouette of his “guitar” – Bad bunny was no where near the first. Even a pregnant Rhianna grabbed her own crotch!
Also the dancing is no different than we’ve seen in so many performances – Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, Madonna, the snoop dog/Enimen/Dr. Dre show.
I think you need to ask yourself why it bothered you so much this year and not when others were doing the exact same thing for years.
I had “to go there.”
LOL.
By saying I liked a halftime show?
The best response. Thank you, Jessica.
Gooooood bye Kim!
The last two lines of your blog don’t seem like something you would write! I’m surprised you used that descriptor for your sandwich and that you touched on a topic so divisive in the country right now like the NFL/TPUSA halftime shows. I mean it was really sublte and I def won’t quit reading your blog unless it gets overtly political. This is my safe space for food and family fun. I don’t care about other people choosing to use cuss words or the halftime shows. I was just surprised to see that blurb from you! Maybe you are just trying to keep things interesting and get more comment section engagement. Lol!
One more thing – I think it would be SUPER cool if you did recaps on your crumb posts of all the things at your “Favorite Things” parties. I’m so curious what was exchanged!!!
lol my comment had literally *nothing* to do with anything political and frankly the responses are wild. i liked the halftime show! this is not political commentary. i have commented on the super bowl halftime show, the commercials of the super bowl (and award show fashion) on my blog for 15 years! you guys can go back through each year and see my thoughts on the halftime show and commercials every february either in tues things or week in the life – truly for 15 years or maybe even the whole 18 I’ve been blogging. i think it would be weird if i DIDN’T say I liked it or disliked it.
i thought the show was unreal and the best one i’ve ever seen! previously before this, my favorite was bruno mars in 2014. i will never not watch the halftime show.
Oh my gosh — one simple comment about enjoying a halftime show and whoa! The undeserved comments are a bit much. Please, people — get a grip. Or simply move along without spewing negativity on the rest of us.
Keep doing what you feel inspired to do, Jessica. It’s your show! I, for one, will absolutely continue to tune in.
Such great photos. The sandwich looks delicious. I agree, Bad Bunny was incredible and our family enjoyed watching it. My favorite Superbowl performance ever!
I watched the show but wouldn’t call it my favorite. That is not my style of music, but the production was the best I’ve seen. Not sure who can deny that.
I am shocked at these comments! I did not take this as a political statement. As someone who has been reading your blog for a decade and enjoys your popular culture takes, I hope this does not stop you from sharing so openly in the future.
I doubt we have aligning political views. I consider myself an activist and identify with the LGTBQ+ community. With that being said, I have appreciated your dedication and gratefulness to your readers. There are times I have wished you would speak out but I understand that is not for everyone. You are in a very busy stage of life. Anyone who has read your weblog from the beginning knows you are authentic and appreciative. This shines through and I will continue to read. Thank you. Do not be discouraged.
Love you, love the blog. Anyone who has been following you for years or even just weeks knows you are all about raising your kids in a loving and accepting world. Anyone who needs to take time out of their day to tell you to be judgmental and hateful probably hasn’t understood a word you wrote.
I also loved the bad bunny show. Seems like some really need to take his message to heart ;). Also that sandwich looks soooo good.
